A personal note from Sylvia
I’m sitting at the kitchen table in my daughter’s home in Canberra, the capital city of Australia. It is a blessing to share this time with my beloved daughter. Quality family moments can be the glue that holds us together.
Canberra is a city of four seasons and I’m enjoying the burst of colour as nature announces “change". June according to our calendar is the beginning of winter, but so much here is still announcing autumn. It is a metaphor of life change – there is no specific date. Change just happens.
I want to say thank you to all in our newsletter community for your many messages of support and kindness. Your emails mean a lot to me.
As most know I have been on ‘bereavement leave’, where time has disappeared as in a vapour. As the days went by, I realised I was not only coping with the death of my 'bestie' David, I was also recovering from months of full time caring. Even though David was in hospital for all of 2022 and the later part of 2021, I went to him each morning and often during the night too.
I was physically exhausted - my body began talking to me and I knew I had to listen and take care of me. And although I’m usually good at that, I was thrust into a different energy.
Why am I telling you this?
So you will have some understanding of the changes that have taken place in my work. Not only as a result of the closing of the borders during the global pandemic in 2020 that collapsed the travelling part of my business, but also the deep personal challenges that have encompassed my life.
During the pandemic, so I could continue to do my work and assist us all to move through these new and difficult times, I began to present online.
Many wanted to enrol in face-to-face courses hoping life would quickly return to being with me in person again – but as we all know in hindsight that was very slow to happen.
And now as I continue to personally present online - you will see some aspects of the website showing changes in scheduling and what courses are being offered.
Also as my way of reaching out to you to help you manage exchange rates and rising costs, I have adjusted the prices for 2023. (Prices in Australian Dollars AUD)
