THE TELEPHONE WAS HOT!

THE TELEPHONE WAS HOT! written by Sylvia Marina

The busiest days so far this year... the telephone was simply buzzing.

My professional life consists of giving people permission to express emotions and this takes me into people’s hurting spots, hidden places of pain and suffering. I go to places where most people, on their own, would never obtain in their life.

With respect and confidentiality, my work illuminates the dark corners in people’s lives, giving them an insight and understanding of their spiritual journey and their ancestral genetic story that is carried in their DNA memory and the lives, memory and knowledge, understanding and wisdom that they can gain access to.

So, the telephone was hot!

February 14 is celebrated as Valentines day...it was originally called St Valentines day. History tells the story of Valentine's Day begins in the third century... olrl.org/lives/valentine.shtml
...near a gate that was later named Porta Valentini in his memory, Julia planted a pink-blossomed almond tree near his grave. Today, the almond tree remains a symbol of abiding love and friendship. On each February 14, Saint Valentine's Day, messages of affection, love, and devotion are exchanged around the world."

The phone... hello, this is Sylvia - my answer that has been happening on every phone call for the past thirty years....answer, sob, its____ ‘he’ hasn’t remembered... and, I thought...

...an amazing ability we have to think...sadly on this February 14 many people over-thought, thought too much, hoped too much. Hope is an expectation and in times of life decisions, hope, in the form of prayer has found lives, rescued the physically, emotionally and spiritually lost, gives people space to refocus, hope helps people make life altering decisions.

Another aspect of hope suspends you in an emotional place of indecision. Wedged between, decision and indecision...to go or not to go, to ask or not ask, to choose or not choose.

To not decide is to decide!

Our conversations were about two specifics, ‘real and unreal expectations.’

Who makes the rules or expectation that affection had to be shown on a specific day? If you were sorely hurt by a ’no-rose’ or ‘red heart’ delivery does this put too small a price on you as a person. Is your personal self-passion, self loving, love and self appreciation, so fragile that a day without expressed love from an outside source totally destroys your peace of mind?

Breathe.

When the delivery didn’t arrive did you pop out for a cuppa at your favourite cafe? Did you put on your best flirty shirt and visit the elderly or someone who lives alone? Did you take some flowers to a carer or make a meal for someone who constantly does for others?  February 14 is a great day for ‘random acts of kindness’. I don’t want to give you a guilt trip of what you could have done...just some ideas for another day.

However when we are desperately into hope, and expectations our neural pathways seem to get a bit of a road block and it’s possible to get stuck in an over-thinking traffic jam.

No flowers, no card, no special invitation, or peck on the cheek, doesn’t mean you are not loved!
it just means... no flowers today... and the opportunity to consider (not over-think), consider, does my energy, attention and expectation need to re-consider.

Between now and next February 14, what will you do so that your expectation doesn’t meet with another disappointment?

... the phone, have you booked our ‘purpose conversation’ yet?
